Megan Spokas, PhD

Psychologist, she/her/hers

Licensed Clinical Psychologist: Pennsylvania 016595, authorized to provide teletherapy in 40 states and District of Columbia through PSYPACT

I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years experience in providing psychotherapy and clinical training. I specialize in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies.

I use approaches that are supported by research, and I strive to provide therapy that is personalized to each individual or couple. I want to collaborate on setting therapy goals that are important and meaningful to you. I hope to create a true partnership in our work and build a relationship that feels secure.

I have worked in private practice, academic medical centers, hospitals, and community clinics. I have received specialized, advanced training in cognitive-behavioral therapies, including my graduate training at Temple University, under the mentorship of Richard Heimberg, and my post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania, under the mentorship of Aaron T. Beck, Gregory Brown, and Amy Wenzel. I have also sought out training and practice in the areas of mindfulness and couples therapy. I have expertise in CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Processing Therapy, the Unified Protocol, and Acceptance and Mindfulness-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Acceptance-based Behavior Therapy, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy.
