center for cognitive behavioral therapy & mindfulness
We are doctoral-level clinicians with expertise in providing evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy.
We’ve been featured in The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, HuffPost, Parade, Real Simple, Verywell Mind, Psych Central, Mic, Prevention, and other publications.
We are currently serving residents of almost all states.
Expert Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
We believe in providing only the best evidence-based care, and research has shown that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the most effective treatment for a variety of concerns. CBT is a goal-oriented short-term therapy that examines the relationships among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, using proven skills to change patterns of thoughts and behaviors in order to move toward goals.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is nonjudgmental awareness of your experience, both internal (thoughts, emotions, behaviors, physical sensations) and external (the five senses). Since awareness is the first step toward change, mindfulness is often key to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In fact, newer forms of CBT directly incorporate mindfulness.
Teletherapy
We believe you should be able to access the highest quality therapy no matter how far you live from a major city or how busy you are. Therapy through live video calls (teletherapy) brings therapy to you: in between meetings, classes, dropping off the kids, and anything else your busy schedule holds— anywhere you have a private space and stable internet connection in your state. And research shows that it is as effective as in-person therapy.
